1. Goal

Establish holistic support structures to implement empirical social programs for the empowerment of families for a changing culture.

Strategic Objective:

  • Promote the development of various target groups of the community (children, youth, elderly, people with disabilities, abled persons…), to allow them to thrive better.
  • Establish high quality professional psychosocial support systems to address psychological, emotional, social, personal needs of persons in the community requiring the service, via an eclectic approach to community wellbeing.

 

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Increased number of people who have been able to get themselves back on track and thriving in society.
  • Effective support systems in place addressing psychosocial needs of individuals.
  • Indication of a level of emotional stability across various target groups.
  • Reduction of delinquent behaviour in children and youth.

2. Goal

Develop collaboration and partnerships with MDAs, civil society and the private sector aimed at better advocacy of minority groups within our society.

Strategic Objective:

  • Set up an inter-sectoral committee that will identify factors that impede on minority groups’ success and develop partnerships to implement initiatives and programs to mitigate or overcome them.  
  • Collaborate to provide the necessary resources, support and opportunities to develop the capacity of minority groups so that they can contribute positively within the society.  

 

Key Performance Indicators:

  • The number of work places that have policies/programs/initiatives in place to encourage minority groups’ employment and involvement towards personal development.
  • Minority groups contributing positively within all levels of the society.

3. Goal

Conduct relevant research to establish a population data intended for evidence base policies.

Strategic Objective:

  • Identify focal persons in affiliated organizations to coordinate collection of data on family, gender and population.
  • Undertake collaboration with local and international partners to create databases for the Department.
  • Establish appropriate mechanism to ensure the collection of data on a regular basis

 

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Emergent policies in place and addressing needs of the population. 
  • Databases developed.  
  • Greater coordination of data collection between partners.
